What is a good ride cymbal to crash on?

I'm looking for a nice, smooth sounding ride cymbal to crash. I have a modern Zildjian and man it sounds so god damn awful. It has too much of a "bell" sound. And when I crash it its extreeemly loud and just dynamically terrible sounding. I'm looking for that light, sweet 60s sound. Or perhaps a jazz ride sound. Would I be looking for a thin ride or maybe a small ride? Or perhaps a crash/ride? I've been looking on Ebay at vintage Zildjian Avedis rides from the 60s but I'm weary of buying something I haven't tried nor do I even know if thats what im looking for. I dont want to spend more than 200.
