When my propane tank is low on gas the stove emits a gas smell until i order a refill. In the meantime how do?

I get rid of the smell? I's nauseating. I unplugged the gas stove and it still gives off that smell. What do I do? I'm a little wary of falling asleep tonite with this problem.
