Plz plz help!!! i have ben smoking now for the last 6 years and last year around janurary, i have ben diagnose?

with bronchitis, and today, i was having a smoke and i hockd up some nasty black stuff which i know is tar, is this serious cuz i smoke everyday and like i said i have ben smoking actually over 6 years
